South Australian Government Opens 24 Engineering Occupations For Offshore Applicant
Great news is waiting for the applicants who want to apply for their visas offshore. In order to manage the COVID recovery response in South Australia, an additional 24 occupations in the Engineering sector will be opened from 2 November 2021 for the applicants currently living outside Australia.

Applicants who want to apply for the state nomination for these occupations must meet the following requirements.
- A minimum of eight years of work experience is necessary for the nominated or a similar occupation.
- Except applicants holding a passport of an English-speaking country like the USA, the UK, New Zealand, Canada, or Ireland, everyone has to prove that they have a superior level of English.
- In the points test for the Skilled Work Regional Visa, the minimum score an applicant has to obtain is 85.
- Full requirements for specific occupations will be displayed on South Australia’s Skilled Occupation List from 10 AM (ACST), 2 November 2021.\
To receive the South Australian state nomination, applicants have to meet state-specific occupation requirements, the Department of Home Affairs requirements, and have a specific set of skills in an occupation present on the Skilled Occupation List. Offshore applicants satisfying the minimum requirements will be allowed to lodge an RoI (Registration of Interest) from 10 AM (ACST), 2 November 2021.

Applicants should note that the nomination process involves high competition. Even if the minimum criteria are satisfied, there is no guarantee that the applicants will immediately receive an invitation to apply for the state nomination after lodging an RoI. The South Australian authority can neither give any indication of it nor answer any inquiries regarding this matter.
