Skilled and Business Migration is now taking specific measures to make sure the highly skilled applicants get nominated for the program who can best contribute to the skills needs and economic growth of South Australia. These measures are:

• Giving importance to the evaluation of Subclass 190 applications
• Giving importance to the highly skilled onshore applicants with verifiable work experience who are employed for full-time service in their nominated job for a South Australian employer
• Giving importance to the evaluation of applications for nominees with a subclass 485 visa expiry date in this program year
• Inspiring applicants who seek a subclass 491 visa nomination to submit or give in Registration of Interest (ROI) applications for consideration via the Talent & Innovators Program

The South Australian Government has requested additional places under the state nomination program. The request has been submitted to the Commonwealth Department of Home Affairs. If the request gets approved, further details on nomination eligibility will be announced.
